About The Artist
I am a Canadian artist best known for stylized paintings of favourite subjects from the natural world. My painting surfaces are energized with flowing line, repetition and patterning as well as a distinctly textured layering of materials.
Most of my work is done in acrylic paints but water media, inks, oil pastel and collage are frequently used as well. I love to draw!
Viewers will notice that my paintings often include script which hearkens back to my love of both calligraphy and writing. With the inclusion of script in my paintings I may try to suggest, but never fully control or define, a familiar narrative.
I am a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and pleased to be the recipient of numerous awards. My paintings hang in private collections in Canada, the USA, Europe and China.
